How is Richard Wagner like a pink flamingo?
This is the question at the center of Wagner and More, the first formal group of Seattle Opera Wagner devotees. The mission of WAM is to support and promote Seattle Opera, with an emphasis on Wagner and his influence on the opera world, through the organization of, or participation in, study groups, social events, travel, and hospitality to visitors attending Seattle Opera’s Wagner productions.
The group meets several times a year with an emphasis evenly divided between friendship and scholarship. Programming will include book discussions, special lectures by Opera staff and visiting scholars, Wagner video nights, dinners and activities with out-of-town visitors attending Wagner operas.
